In today’s society, technological and sociological factors have impacted organizations and individuals’ lives. Digital Transformation and Innovation (DT&I) is a structural change in which new companies are arising and existing companies are transforming themselves. They use digital platforms to improve performance, increase their reach, and ensure the best results for their business. DT&I results from the mix of personal and corporate IT environments and represents the integration of digital technologies and business processes in a digital economy. In our earlier work, we have proposed a Digital Transformation and Innovation ontology (DT&I-BPM-onto) with a focus on the business process transformation to support modelling DT&I initiatives. Moreover, we also presented a visual modelling approach that combines DT&I-BPM-onto ontology and ArchiMate. In this paper, we extend and improve this approach and argue that DT&I requires the idea of views to support its use. Thus, we adopt the Design Science Research methodology to develop an artifact that implements a DT&I viewpoint in ArchiMate. The resulting artifact is illustrated through a classical ArchiMate case study— the ArchiSurance.
